SUMMARY:Navigating Insurance with AI: Smarter Verification\, Claims\, and Case Acceptance
DESCRIPTION:Insurance processes are among the most time-consuming and costly aspects of dental practice management. This course explores how artificial intelligence (AI) can streamline eligibility verification\, automate benefits interpretation\, and reduce errors in claims submission. Participants will learn how AI supports insurance navigation from the front desk to the back office — reducing administrative burdens\, improving patient financial transparency\, and ultimately increasing case acceptance. Real-world case studies will highlight how AI tools can free up staff time\, minimize denials\, and deliver a better patient experience. \n  \nLearning Objectives: \n\nDescribe the role of AI in insurance and how it compares to traditional manual processes.\nIdentify how AI streamlines claims management\, including coding accuracy\, detecting downgrades\, and minimizing resubmissions.\nApply AI-driven insights to improve patient financial conversations\, leading to greater treatment plan acceptance.\nDiscuss the impact of AI on administrative efficiency\, including staffing\, time savings\, and reduction of insurance backlogs.\nRecognize legal\, ethical\, and compliance considerations when implementing AI for insurance navigation.\nDevelop strategies to introduce AI-enabled insurance tools into practice workflows with minimal disruption.\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSana Changezi\, DDS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Speaker \n\n\n\n\nDr. Sana Changezi is a Senior Clinical Manager at Overjet\, the world leader in dental artificial intelligence. A professional with extensive dental experience\, she has spent the last seven years specializing in clinical informatics and utilization management. \nHer background includes serving as the Clinical Director of Florida Dental Group\, where she successfully launched and managed multiple dental practices\, overseeing operations\, clinical quality\, and patient care. Having experienced nearly every role in the dental field\, she brings a deep understanding of the challenges faced by dental teams and patients alike. \nDr. Changezi’s expertise is at the intersection of clinical dentistry\, informatics\, and insurance. At Overjet\, she provides strategic guidance and consulting while partnering with payers and providers to drive the adoption of AI in claim review and clinical decision-making\, auditing clinical parameters\, finding new ML attributes and creating detailed rules engine logic for over 120M+ lives. She is also a member of the National Association of Dental Plans (NADP) Clinical Subwork Group and the American Association of Dental Consultants (AADC). Her passion for technology and data-driven dentistry helps to bridge the gap between clinical expertise and advanced analytics to optimize patient care. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMembership is being verified. You will receive 2 confirmation emails with the GoToWebinar link from Makayla Fowler (mak@harbordentalsociety.org) 24 hours before the class and 1 hour before the class. If you do not receive your first confirmation email\, please contact us at (714) 634-8992. This course will not be recorded. \n\n\n\n\nCANCELLATION POLICY: Refund requests for meetings will only be honored up to 4:30 pm one week prior to the meeting.
