This mandatory training program satisfies California’s legal requirements for harassment prevention training. The course addresses the recognition, prevention, and reporting of harassment, discrimination, and abusive conduct in the workplace. Through real-world scenarios and interactive exercises, participants will learn to foster a respectful work environment while understanding their rights and responsibilities under California law.

Michael Rossiter, JD
About the Speaker
Michael J. Rossiter, a partner at Scott & Whitehead, is licensed to practice law in California and Utah. He represents and advises employers in all areas of employment law, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, employment agreements, wage and hour issues, and employment policies. For the past several years, Mr. Rossiter has conducted harassment prevention training, reflecting his dedication to fostering harassment-free workplaces.
Mr. Rossiter has successfully represented employers in trials, arbitrations, and appeals, including before the California Court of Appeal and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has achieved numerous case dismissals before trial through summary judgment and other pre-trial methods. Known for his creative problem-solving and exceptional client service, he delivers strategic legal solutions.
While earning his law degree, Mr. Rossiter interned for U.S. District Judge George P. Schiavelli and Assistant Attorney General Carl J. Schifferle. He was the Symposium Editor for the Chapman Law Review and voted “Most Inspirational” by his class in 2008. In 2018, he was named a Southern California Rising Star by Super Lawyer Magazine.
A graduate of the ABOTA Trial Advocacy Program and the OCBA College of Trial Advocacy, Mr. Rossiter has also volunteered as a high school mock trial coach, attorney mentor, and serves as a member of the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, showcasing his commitment to both his profession and community.
